How I raped five dogs, boy, 18, tells police

Image
Amid the fear of the Ebola virus in the country, it was with disbelief that residents of Iguosa community in Ovia North East Local Government Council of Edo State ran to an uncompleted building in the area to see an 18-year-old boy, simply identified as Ighodaro, making love to a dog . Curiously, the dog was said to have enjoyed the sex before the crowd stormed the scene. Ighodaro was in JSS 2 before he dropped out from school, due to the inability of his poor parents to pay his school fees. He learnt welding, but, while doing that, he became a lover of dogs.  He confessed to Daily Vanguard that he has slept with different dogs five times until this last episode. It was learnt that a member of the community was passing by the uncompleted building when he sighted the boy making love to the dog and raised the alarm that attracted the villagers. Mr George Ogbonmwa, owner of the dog, expressed  shock at the incident, explaining that when he saw the youn...

Chibok girls: Britain to send three Tornado planes .

Image
BRITAIN’s Royal Air Force   plans to send three fighter jets to help in locating the more than 200   schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents on April 14 this year. The RAF Tornado GR4s equipped with surveillance facilities, according to Daily Mail on Wednesday, will undertake “reconnaissance missions” over the Sambissa Forest where the girls are believed to be held. A   British government source told The Times that the jets would help the Nigerian authorities in tracking the movements of the insurgents. The report however added that the mission was dependent on a nearby nation giving the British government the nod to use its runway. A Ministry of Defence spokesman did not deny the report about the deployment of the planes. He said, “The United Kingdom continues to work with the United States and France as well as Nigeria’s neighbours and international partners to provide advice and assistance to the Nigerian government....

Ebola: WAEC bars sick candidates

Image
The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has warned sick candidates for the forthcoming November/December 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, to stay away from the examination centres. This is even as the Lagos State government yesterday confirmed that five additional suspected cases of Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, had been received. It said the fresh suspected cases were brought in yesterday. WAEC gave the warning as part of efforts to curb the spread of the deadly disease which had so far killed five persons in the country. The examination body noted that it had prepared to curb the spread of the virus by providing preventive measures in its centres, including hand gloves, masks and sanitisers. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, while briefing journalists, said two of the fresh suspected cases were secondary contacts. He added that the remaining three were primary contacts with the late Liberian, Patri...

Computer can strain your eyes, use glasses .

Image
Do you sit in front of the computer for more than eight hours a day? Do you get headaches after working on your computer? If yes, experts say you may be suffering from Computer Vision Syndrome – a condition, they say, can lead to partial loss of eyesight and other eye problems. Many businesses have gone from analogue to digital platforms; hence, more people spend time on their digital screens to earn a living. Eye specialists warn that more people would suffer vision problems than before due to the increase in computer-related jobs. According to British-trained ophthalmologist, Dr. Adeniyi Toba, many adults are already suffering from what he describes as CVS or digital eyestrain, a condition that could predispose you to frequent headaches, migraines and blurred vision. Toba says, “If you get frequent headaches after work, then you may be suffering from digital eye strain. It is actually the most common injury that people who have deskwork suffer most, and th...

Meet Nigerian man who may become first black British PM !

Image
On May 7, 2015, a Nigerian, Chuka Umunna, could make history by becoming the first black Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Born in London in 1978, Chuka was bred in the UK. His late father, Bennett, hailed from Anambra State while his Irish mother, Patricia, is a solicitor. Co-incidentally, Chuka shares startling similarities with the United States President, Barack Obama, who is the first black President of the world’s most powerful nation. For instance, Chuka is of mixed race, being the child of a Nigerian father and an Irish mother while Obama is also of mixed race, being the offspring of a white American woman and a Kenyan father. Also Chuka’s father, Bennett, was killed in a mysterious car accident in Nigeria in 1992 while Obama’s father was killed in a car accident in Kenya in 1982. If history repeats itself as it is being predicted by British political observers, Chuka, who is also a six-foot tall lawyer like Obama, could become the first blac...

Another Liberian certified with Ebola virus in Lagos !

Image
Few weeks after a Liberian, Patrick Sawyer, brought the Ebola virus disease (EVD) to Nigeria, another Liberian with the deadly virus has been detected in Lagos. This was disclosed yesterday morning by a Senior Registrar with Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, Dr Akindele Akintayo while speaking on a television programme in Lagos. He said the Liberian has been kept at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Lagos. Dr Akintayo said, however that the hospital authorities were yet to confirm if the victim had a contact with the late Mr Sawyer or not. Recall that the Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu on Tuesday announced the death of Dr Ameyo Adadevoh, one of the doctors that treated the late Sawyer at First Consultant Hospital, Lagos. But, the Lagos State Government has denied that another Liberian with the Ebola virus had been discovered in Lagos. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris, while addressing newsmen at Alausa, Ikeja, ...

Man Admits Having S*x With About 100 Corpses

A morgue attendant has admitted he may have had s*x with as many as 100 female corpses. Kenneth Douglas, from the city of Hamilton, Ohio, was arrested, charged and sentenced to three years in prison in 2008 after DNA from his semen was found inside the body of murder victim, 19-year-old Karen Range. The crime only came to light after Range’s murderer David Steffen appealed his conviction for murder and r*pe. He admitted killing Range but denied defiling her. Douglas pleaded guilty in 2012 to having s*x with 23-year-old Charlene Appling on the day she died after being strangled while six months pregnant and having s*x with another woman April Hicks. Douglas was sentenced for a further three years on each of the offences. Now he has admitted to having s*x with up to 100 dead women between 1976 and 1992 while he worked the night shift. “I would just get on top of them and pull my pants down,” Hamilton said in a deposition to the 6th US Circuit Court of Appeals. “We will not misuse Fabregas like Barcelona did” – Mourinho

Image
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, has said that they will not misuse Cesc Fabregas like Barcelona did. Fabregas arrived at Stamford Bridge this summer for a fee around £30m and was impressive as the Blues defeated Burnley 3-1, in their first Premier League match of the season. The Spaniard was involved in all three goals, including a sublime assist for Andre Schurrle. “The team played very well but I agree with Cesc being man of the match because he and [Nemanja] Matic controlled the game and dictated the intensity of it,” said the Chelsea manager. “They decided how to control the pace. They were both good brains in this team and I am happy with that because last season we could not control the game as we controlled [it] today.” Asked how he felt at the arrival of Fábregas, Mourinho added: “When the players are your first choice it is very difficult to make a mistake. Fábregas was our first choice for that position. I know clearly what the player is because we were ...

Ebola: UK varsities on alert for Nigerian students, others

Image
. Thousands of Nigerians admitted into United Kingdom universities appear sure to face tough health screening as their campuses have been placed on the alert for the danger posed   by the Ebola Virus Disease. According to The Independent on Sunday , the   alert by Universities UK, the umbrella body that represents vice-chancellors, was issued because the universities are expecting   new students to arrive from West Africa. While the three countries which have seen the largest number of Ebola cases – Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone – have hardly any students enrolling at UK universities, Nigeria – which has also had confirmed cases – is the fourth largest supplier of international students to UK universities. In 2012-13, the latest year for which figures are available, a total of 9,630 were enrolled. A spokesman for the body said, “The issue is very much on universities’ radars. Rogue bankers steal customers’ funds online .

Image
Cases of internal online fraud committed by bank employees have been on the rise lately, The PUNCH has learnt. Our correspondent gathered that porous data system, coupled with dwindling remuneration in some of the banks, might have been encouraging bankers to tamper with customers’ funds. Analysts are of the view that the quest to live fantasy lifestyles might have led some of the bankers to engage in such an illicit act. An employee of a new generation bank said many of his former colleagues were sacked within the last two years due to discreet online manipulation of customers’ funds. “Some had to resign when the lid on their deals was blown off,” the source, who pleaded not to be named, said. “The most common cases are those that have to do with bankers tampering with the accounts of deceased customers and transferring the funds into their personal accounts within the same bank, or some other banks,” the source added. The Central Bank of Nigeria had l...
