Pastor instructs congregation to drink petrol !

SOUTH Africa's controversial clergyman Pastor Lesego Daniel of Rabboni Christ Ministries who recently made his congregation eat grass has gone s step further by offering them petrol to drink as a remedy to their ailments.

Pastor Daniel, whose church is located in Pretoria has always believed in making his followers connect to God in bizarre ways. Apart from getting them to eat grass, he has also made them eat flowers used in decorating the church.

In his latest stunt, Pastor Daniel has got his congregation drinking petrol, likening its taste to that of apple juice or pineapple juice. Among other things, Pastor Daniel even walks on the bodies of the members his congregation, adding that it is a way of getting them to connect to God.

In January this year, Pastor Daniel attracted international notoriety when he made his congregation eat the grass outside his church, claiming that humans can eat anything to feed their bodies. One of his parishioners claimed eating the grass stopped her having a sore throat, while another said it healed her after a stroke.

Last weekend, Pastor Daniel told his congregation after making them eat flowers that media reports claiming that his private life was falling apart and that he owned luxury cars and huge piece of land where not true and are only attempts to discredit him. He added that the media and other people had failed to discredit him previously, so now they were trying to use material things to get to him.

Pastor Daniel said: “I don’t even have a car registered in my name. I give everything to the church.”

Claiming he receives instructions directly from God, Pastor Daniel says there is a conflict between science and religion. He believes his unique ways have a way of bringing people closer to God, despite the fact that many of his parishioners have fallen sick after following his eating instructions.
