Minister Shoots Himself Dead After Losing Elections !

Kamanya was found shot dead inside a locked bedroom.
According to Kamanya’s close friend and
cabinet colleague, Transport Minister Ulemu Chilapondwa, his wife had
received a call from the deceased's wife at about 3.30 a.m telling her
that they should come quickly to the house as
her husband had shot himself in a spare bedroom.
When they arrived at the house they
found that Kamanya had locked himself in a spare bedroom and they forced
the door open, only to find him lifeless.
"We forced the door open because we hoped he might still be alive and we wanted to rush him to hospital," Chilapondwa said.
He said Kamanya left behind a suicide
note which allegedly states that he took his life because he feared
being killed by members of Mr Mutharika's Democratic Progressive Party
(DPP).
However, his spokesman denied reports that his suicide was linked to him apparently losing his parliamentary seat.
Confirming the incident, Lilongwe Police Officer-in-Charge Richard Luhanga said, "we
received a report at around 4 a.m. (local time) this morning that Hon.
Kamanya had shot himself, as for the reasons he has left a suicide
note."
He, however, did not disclose the contents of the suicide note, saying: "Family members can disclose that."
Meanwhile, the
country's president, Joyce Banda has said that the elections have been
marred by "serious irregularities", including vote-rigging and
computer-hacking, while also calling for an immediate manual
audit of the results.
