Banky W, Sean Tizzle, others are MTN’s new ambassadors .

Celebrities comprising Nigerian entertainment icons, on-air-personalities, DJs and media giants were on hand to cheer MTN as it unveiled new brand ambassadors and also premiered the new songs and videos of some of these ambassadors at Victoria Island last week.
Amidst the fun and music, Timaya and Sean Tizzle joined Banky W., Dr. Sid, Harrysong and Sound Sultan as the Company’s latest ambassadors.
Kenny ‘Keke’ Ogungbe, Dayo Adeneye, Ayo Animashaun, Tajudeen Adepetu, ID Ogungbe, DJ Jimmy Jatt, TY Mix, Olisa Adibua, Vector, Oritse Femi, Mafikizolo and Ghanaian diva, ‘Becca’, top the list of Nigerian, South African and Ghanaian celebrities present at the event. DJ Neptune and DJ Exclusive spiced up the night with great display while the excitement generated by the new songs and videos will not be forgotten for a while.
Praiz premiered his new hit, ‘Mercy’, to a wide applause. Chidinma’s video, ‘Oh Baby’, a collaborative work the Project Fame winner did with Flavour, was received with cheers.
Also, the duo of Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza, popularly called Mafikizolo, gave their fans a taste of their collaboration with Davido when they performed the song ‘Tchelete’, (Goodlife).
The duo, who enthused that the song was the best work they ever did with any artiste, were elated to be in the country.
Among those who made the unveiling and premiere memorable were Solid Star, Oritse Femi, Becca and Kcee.

24-year-old bags Ph.D in UNILAG !

A 24-year-old, Olaoluwa Oluwadara, has bagged a Ph.D degree in Mathematics at the just concluded 2012/2013 session convocation ceremony at the University of Lagos. Olaoluwa, who bagged his first and second degrees in  Mathematics and Physics  in 2007 and 2008 respectively from the Universite de Bangui in Central African Republic, graduated with a Cummulative Gross Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0 [first degree]. Olaoluwa’s feat supersedes that of Olabisi Adeyemi, a 26-year-old female who bagged a Ph.D with a CGPA of 4.98 in 2012 and Opeyemi Shodipe, 25 of Babcock University. 2015: Jonathan To Decide Whether To Run Soon

Following the release of the 2015 election timetable by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, President Goodluck Jonathan will soon hold a strategic meeting with his kitchen cabinet to decide on whether or not to run, his Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs, Senator Ben Obi, has said. However, the decision may not be taken until April because the Presidency may want to spend the next 90 days on effective governance to better the lot of the citizenry in line with the President’s promise of a better 2014 for Nigerians.
