Police Arrest 5 with Human Heads in Otta

Ogun State Police command, alongside the special Anti Robbery Squad, Lagos Command, have jointly arrested five suspects in Joju area of Otta in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State with human heads and flesh in pieces.
The discovery was said to have been as a result of a follow up on a tip off from the people of the area yesterday. The suspects arrested include Kubura Salami, Tantolorun Abimbola, Kafaya Popoola, Wahid Ibrahim and Adamu Rafiu.
Divisional Police Officer in charge of Otta Division of the command, CSP Gabriel Idibie, led a team of operatives to assist the SARS Lagos who got the first hand information to Joju area where the five suspects were arrested and the exhibits recovered for further investigation and adequate prosecution.
The exhibits recovered from them include one complete human head and human flesh in a container stained with liquid substance suspected to be human blood.
The Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Ikemefuna Okoye, has ordered that the case be handed over to SARS Lagos for discrete investigation since it is a follow up to an ongoing investigation with the Lagos team.
He added that the Ogun Command would complement Lagos Command in the course of its investigation of the incident
Okoye assured people of the state that the police would not condone any act of criminality and inappropriate behaviour within the state as it expressed readiness to harness all available resources to have robust intelligence-driven policing.
He therefore, commended the good people of Ogun State for their support always, promising that the police in the state would not disappoint them in carrying out its statutory duties.

24-year-old bags Ph.D in UNILAG !

A 24-year-old, Olaoluwa Oluwadara, has bagged a Ph.D degree in Mathematics at the just concluded 2012/2013 session convocation ceremony at the University of Lagos. Olaoluwa, who bagged his first and second degrees in  Mathematics and Physics  in 2007 and 2008 respectively from the Universite de Bangui in Central African Republic, graduated with a Cummulative Gross Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0 [first degree]. 2015: Jonathan To Decide Whether To Run Soon

Following the release of the 2015 election timetable by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, President Goodluck Jonathan will soon hold a strategic meeting with his kitchen cabinet to decide on whether or not to run, his Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs, Senator Ben Obi, has said.
